I just went with this one because it is extremely secure.First up is the iOttie Easy One Touch 4 Dashboard and Windshield Mount that is listed at $29.95 on Amazon. They have other options available as well. While not difficult, it is just the challenge by the design. It’s just two hands to put the phone in it since you have to pinch one side and then put the phone in and clasp it, it can also hit buttons if you’re not paying some attention. It is perfectly secure in there and with the added grips from the included silicon cage thing, it’s secure enough to bounce around rock gardens all day if I wanted. My biggest issue is the mount that I chose, it is one with the four arms that clamp to the sides. It has been there for 5 years now with very little issue.
It extends out over the right side of the steering wheel so I can press the phone buttons without leaving the wheel and I can see it with less of a glance than my console.
I have two mounted to a piece of steel that is connected to the frame of my truck dash.
